The Jiyuan-Luoyang West Highway is currently under construction in the Henan Province of China. This is another important project to connect two cities across the Yellow River, Jiyuan and Luoyang. 

 

The overall length of the highway is 42.16km and when completed will be a four-lane Highway with six lanes on both sides of The Yellow River Bridge. The intended travel speed for this highway is 100 km/h with the project expected to be completed and open to the public in 2020. 

 

Upon completion, the project will strengthen the connection and promote cultural and economic interaction between these cities which historically have been separated by the large river. The hope is that the highway and bridge will help the cities to continue to develop simultaneously.
